Better account managment between machines
Could Valve include a better account mangment in steam ?
I have some softwares on Steam and it's à pain to use.

Recent exemple, playing on th Deck, I wanted to change my Wallpaper with Wallpaper Engine. Sadly, because I have a game running on the Deck, Steam goes haywire because I want to run an app on my desktop when I already have a game running on the deck, and he start to disconnect my account left and right.

That is the DRM on Steam. They won't disbale it because it's tied to the license when you use a product in steam that only allows one account on one machine to use the product at a time.

It's not going to be removed because it's under protection from "account sharing".

Software on Steam, such as Wallpaper Engine, usually have an option to run without Steam. Wallpaper Engine should be launched from the exe within its files and set to auto-start when Windows does. This way Steam doesn't need to know it's running.

Yes, but try to open the WE interface, the steam client will detect that WE is running and will disconnect the user. It is a pain.

You know you can just right click a picture and hit "set as wallpaper" in windows right, you don't actually need an app for that :P

Wallpaper Engine not only allows for animated wallpapers, but it also allows for interactive wallpapers. I tend to like the ones that behave like music visualizers. It's all a useless gimmick, sure, but that's why people like it.

Can't say i see any use for that, i see my wallpaper twice a day, when i first boot each day and when i close everything to shut down my PC, if you're staring at your wallpaper for extended period you might want to consider what you're using a PC for :P

Like I said, it's a gimmick.

Well either way this is because of the DRM steam uses, your library, and the apps and games in it, can only be accessed by 1 device at any given time

It's killin me, I try to play with friends at my house but it locks me out of one device or the other. Are we ok to make multiple accounts now? WTF?

That's literally account sharing. It's against the EULA for Steam.
