Escape key on the On-Screen Keyboard
When trying some non verified games i came across the issue that the menu or quit key was escape and couldn't be changed. Therefore it would be nice to have an escape key on the on screen keyboard somewhere. It really doesnt need to be on the main keyboard screen but just somewhere.
I'm using the german QWERTZ layout in case other layouts actually have that feature

I believe Steam + d-pad left is the universal escape key.

that does work. I don't remember ever being taught that shortcut and it's kind of awkward but at least it's there

Keep in mind all the universal shortcuts also work with the (...) button so you can hold that and press left on the d-pad.

If you hold the steam button down for a few seconds a cheat sheet will show on screen.

The feedback is still useful though and I'll forward it on internally. Thanks!

How did I know about chords, but not about (...) button working in the same way as 'steam' one... Why they add this functionality and then not mention it anywhere is beyond me.
