Disable Mouse Functionality on Controller when using a Controller in Desktop Mode
While in Desktop mode and using a controller such as an Xbox controller (series X, but I'm sure the others are the same), you are able to use the joysticks and other buttons to interact with the Client. And as well as the Desktop-OS itself, as long as Steam is running.

What we need is an option to turn off the mouse and keyboard features on the controller. Maybe not the Steam Deck controller on the device itself, but any other external controller.

I enjoy hooking up my non-steam games to Steam and when playing them, it shows my friends what I'm playing and such. But the issue is for non-steam games, the feature that the client has, that turns off the cursor on the joysticks of the Controller (and in order to use in general, you have to hold Xbox-Guide button with joystick for mouse functions to work again) works with only Steam official games. Not non-Steam games (unless I'm mistaken?). So games like Minecraft that I enjoy playing, while in Desktop mode and playing them, whether added to the non-Steam games or not (as long as Steam is open), the controller does both the Minecraft keybinds for the controller as well as controlling the Desktop at the same time. So it becomes unusable and you have to shutdown Steam to make it stop. But, that defeats the purpose of showing your friends what you're playing (but that's not the main reason for this feature).

Minecraft on the other-hand while in SteamOS, works fine. Because obviously it's not using the Desktop-Mode of Steam for Controllers. So no issue there. Just in Desktop Mode.

Why playing Minecraft in Desktop mode instead of SteamOS? To play on TV, since getting native 4k is either bugged or not feature-completed with the SteamOS; you have to play in Desktop Mode.

I'm sure this is the case on other gaming software such as the emulators and such where the Desktop Mode for Controllers can get in the way of other software using the controller.

Unless I'm oblivious and there is a setting somewhere? Couldn't find it.

TL;DR - An option in the controller settings on Desktop Mode to stop the controller from being a mouse. Interferes with non-Steam games/clients.
