Add friend name searching in Gaming Mode

In the desktop mode Steam client, there is an option to search for a friend by name. I can do this now by going to Friends -> Add a Friend... , then by searching for the name of the friend in the "Or try searching for your friend" text box.

This is nice because I can search for a friend by name instead of needing to have the friend code.

Can this be added to Gaming Mode on the Steam Deck?

That sucks. They need to update it to allow for adding friend by name instead of a worthless code.
