your screen on a modern smart
tv wirelessly would be nice.
Looks like the chip used by the Deck has support, but some work is needed to update the driver - Valve, plz fix!

Looks like realtek said they'll try adding it 9/29/21 but there doesn't appear to be anything yet according to https://github.com/torvalds/linux/commits/master/drivers/net/wireless/realtek/rtw88
Ontop of what has been described above, streaming the steam deck to a chromecast could also be incredibly useful for streaming video-content, using the steam deck as a sort of hot-fix for streaming things to a chromecast that would normally not be possible due to the nature of chromecast-ecosystems. Turning the steam deck into a sort of streaming-remote for your TV.

Supported interface modes:

You need P2P-Client in the support interface modes for Miracast to work.

Would be nice for a quick show off to friends where you are still playing on the Deck but they can see what you are doing on a larger screen. No in advance setup needed unlike if you were to try to use Steam Link. If your friend has a cast enabled TV, you can just do it.
