Game Mode resolution when connected to TV/Monitor
I'm surprised it's still not possible to choose a resolution in game mode. Even soon to be two decade old consoles can do it.

I've been saying this for the last week. +1

Yeah it's really weird that they haven't done anything about it yet, I ended up just using Steam Link for that.

Also, hi Robbaz!

Yeah it's pretty annoying. I'd like to use FSR from higher base resolutions than 800p on less demanding games.

I'd like to be able to disable upscaling in game mode and run gamemode at a lower resolution then my tv. That way I can still hit 60 fps. Desktop mode works great this way but it's a pain in the ass. I'd like to just connect up and run games but because it's a 4k screen the upscaler kills performance trying to forcibly upscale to 4k.

Messed up on my TV, Capture card and passthrough, stuff that can be fixed with basic settings. Some even get stuck with 4k 30hz.

Desktop mode sadly don't use Wayland/Gamescope that's why playing through it feels choppy in many titles and all features that comes with gamescope is missing. But yes it's works great in desktop mode to even set up two monitors.

All i wish for is resolution options and perhaps scaling options.

Yes, please let us change the resolution in TV mode - having a 4k TV is great, but full HD is more than enough for most games.
Even upscaling to 4k results in a bad frame drop while playing in game mode.

Am I the only one who, connecting my Deck (game mode) to a 1080p TV, is forced to play games in a locked 800p resolution and an horrible letterbox?!
Only launching games from desktop mode let me change in game resolution...

This needs to be implemented with haste. I posted this earlier, but what would be great is when the Deck detects an external display, it prompts the user on the Deck screen, before switching, to allow us to pick a resolution and refresh rate. And also have options in Display settings to change the later if we choose. Just like in the Controller menu, when you have an external controller connected, you can tab over to adjust items for that specificly.

Agreed. I would love to see that properly implemented.

Yep, also waiting strong for this one.

Change resolutions and also monitor rotation please. I’ve got a monitor that needs to be mounted upside down. Since there is no rotation option in display settings, I can’t use the SD in game mode on my monitor.

It's been sorta added. Go to a game's properties before launch and set the resolution to "Native". That should let you go above 800p in-game.

I think they did it this way so that games won't try to run at 4k and destroy performance when you try to play handheld.
