Adding Cloud Save Support to Non-supported game via manual user instructions
Now I'm gonna have to confess something, I'm a sonic fan. But as a sonic fan, or more generically, a SEGA fan, most games they have on steam doesn't have cloud save abilities. I.E. all of the dreamcast collection. Although we could try and wait for SEGA to fix this, I don't think they will, nor do I think this is an issue exclusive to only SEGA titles. I'm pretty sure there must be 1 or 2 games on all of our libraries that doesn't support steams cloud saves.

That's why I propose a system wide fix. I think we can have a middle ground where steam would allow us to manually pick files to sync from one game to another via an option in steam, we would have to manually locate the directory where game saves are and as such add cloud save "support" on titles that don't already have it. On each computer we'd like to access the cloud save on, we would have to manually pick the spot to sync the save to. Pretty simple!

We could do a work around using OneDrive, but I find Steam cloud save system so much more convenient and I don't have to leave the Deck launcher to force a sync. Essentially making the cloud save feature more flexible by giving users manual control when it's not already available.

Syncthing and FreeFileSync might be useful workarounds, available as flatpaks from the Discovery store, and probably usable as autostart (syncthing) or on-demand automatic (FreeFileSync batch oeperations) without resorting to making SteamOS's system writeable

That being said, supporting manual whitelisting of sync paths (files and folders, maybe even smarter wildcards) would be really nice...

...and the reverse (blacklisting some files from games with cloud sync enabled) is already a frewuent request due to game devs that misconfigured it and sync game settings (like image quality) between devices instead of just saves

Thanks dude, I'll look into it! Good thing I haven't started setting up One Drive beforehand. I want to keep my SteamOS as close to stock as possible mostly since it's my first time having a dedicated Linux OS and don't want to screw the thing up!
