Steam Deck
Default to APT-X LL Low Latency for Bluetooth Audio
You can only select the APTX modes in Desktop mode and they do not carry BT selection settings over to gaming mode. It currently defaults to APTX Classic, this adds about 150-200ms of latency for most BT audio which makes it not playable.

It would really be nice if it defaulted to APTX-LL or the low latency mode of APTX Adaptive once Adaptive is supported.

+1 the steam deck is a handheld wireless portable gaming console, it’s crazy it can’t support wireless headphones in a codec that is low latency/high quality
Just a heads up, there are earbuds that have a low latency mode in the SBC Codec. I just picked up a pair of Earfun earbuds from Amazon than have ~60ms latency in their low latency mode, and it works pretty well.
+1 Just got some Aptx Adaptive buds and a USB dongle for my laptop. Would be nice to use them with the deck as well (without the dongle).
Would really like a way to set this.

I tried connecting my tablet (S7) to the deck so that I could have youtube/twitch from the tablet outputting audio through my deck (to the connected bluetooth headphones - along with game audio).

Unfortunately I get stutter using anything but SBC.
+1

I have like one second delay with my Denon receiver.
Steam Deck does currently support APT-X LL as well as a couple other lower latency codecs, it just needs to be selected in Desktop mode. Since 3.3, it will stay as the favorite profile for that headset after selected. We are working on implementing that selection into Gamescope in a future update.

How do we select it in Desktop mode? I don't see the option in Bluetooth - System Settings

Click on the audio icon on the taskbar and you should see an options button for each audio device.
