Allow renaming bluetooth device

I have multiple bluetooth headsets of the same make and model, just in different rooms.
Hard to know which of the Headset XYZ123 is the right one to connect to... If I could assign them a name, that would make it much easier.

Something I always wanted to be able to do in Windows to keep track of all my controllers. SteamOS should definitely add this.

I would also like to see that. I use multiple bluetooth audio devices and it's a mess to orientate in those generic "LETTER,LETTER,dash,NUMBER,NUMBER,NUMBER,NUMBER" names

If I remember correctly, it is possible to rename Bluetooth devices from settings in desktop mode.

EDIT: just check and it is possible to rename from desktop mode, but the change does not get picked in non-desktop mode :( Would be great if it would be picked up.

Especially when I have multiple controllers, it'd be helpful to know which is which so when I go to pair one, I'm selecting the correct one.

Forreal! Would be specially useful to assign a specific remote in those games where player 1 is “in charge”.

Please add this. Being unable to distinguish similar devices in the menu makes troubleshooting connection issues a pain. I typically have to forget all the like-devices and re-pair them.

Surely this feature would be easy to add.
