I definitely think there should be a settings menu to tweak the Steam Deck LCD display.
Brightness
Contrast
Gamma
Saturation
Temperature
White balance
Option to boost individual RGB colour channel Saturation too.
Buying a Steam Deck at the moment is like buying a new TV and not being able to change any picture settings except the brightness. I know you're only able to change the brightness on iPads and Switch Oldeds too, but their displays are not poorly calibrated and don't stuck out of the box.
Would be nice to have the feature as "Global" options and "per-game" options too.
I also second what Refrenz said about more controls, especially for colour temp. Received my Steam Deck today and it seems really neat other than the mediocre screen calibration. Colour temp is too cool, colours are too muted, and the gamma is all jacked up with blown out highlights. The people behind this display should be embarrassed because it could look so much better with a simple decent factory/default calibration.
for color saturation & contrast options especially.
