No, I actually think an icon in the friends list would be very useful. For me it would show my friends that I am not playing from my desktop PC and therefore might not be able to talk (obviously depending on where I was playing).
Tell that to Valve who added the VR icon. Or the mobile icon.
Exactly! This is a great reason why they should have a separate icon for the Deck because do you know how awkward it is to type on this thing?

But as stated originally in the thread starter, you suggest a icon being visible on the forums.
Why seperate those who own the deck from those who don't? The forum is a place for everyone. Adding a icon would only alienate those who don't own the device and their discussion of the device would be regarded as irrelevant..
We also have a mouse icon on the forums for owning the game when we post in those game hubs. We don't have anything here for owning the Deck.
So how would this alienate anyone?
