An option to set the default mode on every boot

An option in the settings that would allow you to select in which mode the steam deck will start by default.

Desktop mode, or in game mode.

Yes, this is desperately needed, especially when a generic SteamOS 3 ISO is released for non-Deck machines. Most non-Deck users will want to power on into Desktop Mode by default and maybe run the Steam client in the new Big Picture Mode if they have a controller attached. Also, Deck users who have it mostly docked are also going to want to boot into Desktop Mode by default.

Q: how do you change steam deck os (HaloIso) to only boot into desktop mode?
is there command setting or something you do to change this so only boots desktop mode?

I've been testing halo IS (Link below) on my home build gaming pc.. Steam deck os at least for me has been very flaky and buggy, but booting desktop mode ran flawless as far I can tell and I am starting enjoying it. I just testing this on spare 500 GB USB 3.x passport drive.

I just want figure out how have it default boot to desktop mode only. I am very new to Linux and if anybody know how config so boot desktop only. please let me know.
