Per-Game Performance/Power Saving Profiles
My idea is simple.

You know how the deck lets you set performance levels for the entire system, enable FSR for the entire system, limit framerates.

The Deck should be able to remember which settings we want for what games.

Some games, like indie games, I don't NEED to crank up the performance to maximum to hit 60 FPS.

Other games like AAA games I wanna crank up the performance and also maybe enable FSR too.

Just have the Deck remember what the settings were per game.

If I might add, Community Recommended Settings, similar to how we can do it for Mapping, but for specific title settings. So people could make "Best Battery Settings", "Best Performance Settings", "Best Quality Settings".

This would be fantastic. A community based profile system would make things a lot easier.

We need this

Going to signal boost this with a bump, but also add maybe they could add a function to park cores entirely. As a youtuber showed (The Phawx I think) some games can benefit from diverting that extra power to fewer cores.

I totally agree with OP. We really need the ability to make per game profiles. It would greatly improve the usability and reduce the time we spend configuring games.

Omg now that you mention it, it's missing?
One more thing that should have been included from the very beginning.

Yes please! It is annoying to have to toggle the frame limiter off between playing 2D and 3D games.

Yes, considering not everyone knows how to properly configure this (even if Valve has made the process as simple as possible), would be nice if they could simply select a config made by another person.

Ultimately a community based profile system can only come when we get per-game performance profiles.

So let's hope to get that first!

Good idea. This would be ideal.

Assuming it takes off, sharedeck.games[sharedeck.games] could act as the community profile repository and the Performance Presets plugin (not out yet, but teased by the delveloper here[www.gamingonlinux.com]) will allow easy loading and saving of settings on the deck.

Hopefully the Performance Presets devs are aware of sharedeck.games and will integrate it into their plugin.

That plugin you posted sounds amazing. I hope that the creator can also make it auto-load profiles per game too, which is what I want with a feature like this.

AKA, make a profile for a game, set profile up, save it, and next time you load that game up it automatically loads that profile up.

Would be great. Save profile while in game and/or edit/add on game Properties, similar to Compatibitity option.
