Keeps erasing all text, can't search

When I go to any text field, it just erases all the text. I can't use search because as soon as I type a letter it gets deleted. almost like X button is stuck, but the x button isn't stuck and works fine in games, but in the UI it's broken. Restart sometimes fixes it but then it'll get in the back state again later. Very annoying.

I have this issue too, has made gaming on my steamdeck almost impossible, restarting helps for a little while but bugs out again randomly.

Same here. Opening a store page or starting a game seems to fix it but it comes back randomly after a while.

Just started having this issue as well. Starts when a text prompt opens and the text erases as if the "x" button is being held down. When exiting the text box, I've also noticed that the icons change from controller style buttons to keyboard/mouse icons and sometimes the problem will persist making the game unplayable because it thinks the "x" button is still pressed, immediately closing any menus I try to open. After the problem occurs, the on screen keyboard will also sometimes lose its skin and go to a white default looking keyboard before randomly going back to the custom skin. Only a full restart of the deck fixes the issue, not just exiting the game. Playing Car Mechanic Simulator 2021 at the time of issue.

I occasionally get this issue as well. Glad it wasn't something I misconfigured. I've almost had this do damage to a mod directory I spent 3 hours working on configuring in Desktop mode.

I've also noticed my movement inputs (WASD, L-Stick) will rarely but randomly lock in a random direction and wont unlock until I either open the overlay, or press numerous other buttons to interrupt the one which is stuck, affecting pretty much every game I've tried playing.

Maybe this and the random backspace-overflow is indicative of a broader Steam Input issue?
