game recording screen is black but audio works

having the opposite of what another thread mentioned but I tried to make some clips of Dragon Age: The Veilguard and Webfishing and they came out audio-only, black screen. screenshots work fine though.

tried a restart after seeing that worked during beta but just doesn't seem to work at all.
