Broken library navigation

I've been skipping Steam Client updates for the last 3 months. A week ago I updated the client on my Deck and since then I experience quite bad experience navigating through my library (1000+ items).

1. I open the library
2. Switch to "All games" tab
3. With the left stick quickly scroll down to the middle
4. Open any game's page
5. Close the game page

Expected: I'm navigated back to the "All games" tab, to the same position where I stopped
Actual: Sometimes I'm navigated to the first tab, i.e. "Best on Deck", instead of all games + an absolutely random game is selected instead of the one, whose page I've just closed. And it can happen multiple times in a row!

It has nothing to do with decky plugins btw, happens on clean install too. Doesn't seem to happen on desktop version.

I'm sick of my default library tab now being "great on deck" and not my installed library. Constantly having to switch tabs when I shouldn't have to. It's basically advertisements-lite.

Same here its very frustrating - so i have installed the plugin TabMaster through the Decky plugin manager und moved the „installed“ tab to the first position. So it jumps from any other tab to the installed - better then before.

Just went through this today when experimenting with controller configurations. A bit of a pain to have to navigate back to my collection each time

Typing on mobile so I apologize for any errors. (Not to mention I had to retype this entire thing because while I was typing the first time, the app decided I needed to see steam news instead...)

I try not to revive threads, but this is the only thing on google I could find about this issue besides reddit (and I'm gonna hard pass on that place...)

Anyone else fix this issue? A workaround or possible decky plugin alternative? TabMaster was removed from the plugin store because apparently it was riddled with bugs.

I would tolerate this problem, but it has been months and it gets EXTREMELY annoying when I'm just looking for something to play, or worse; organizing a collection.

It's INCREDIBLY OBNOXIOUS and I really hope they fix this.

Note to Valve:
Whether this was intended or not, leaving a consistent bug like this for that long is kind of a slap in the face. The longer it stays, the more it feels like a passive aggressive way to advertise.

Yeah you can make the argument that they could have missed it. FOR THIS LONG. But clearly the people designing this UI don't actually use the steam deck, and it's probably time to rehire or shift employees.

The current workaround is to hold the B button instead of pressing it, but yeah, this REALLY needs to be fixed.
