So, yeah... The resolution is pretty much borked.
Additionally, try checking the rotation settings for each of your displays and play around with those until you find something that works.
My monitor is an LG gaming monitor, I can't remember the exact model.
I realised what happened with my monitor and steam deck resolutions:
When I set the display settings to "Unity"(Both screens mirror) my monitor and STEAM Deck resolution change from their native resolutions to 600x800(Zero idea why) and my STEAM Deck orientation changes from Portrait to Landscape which makes the screen on the deck show as if it were in portrait(Because my deck's default is portrait mode to make everything show on the deck's screen in widescreen - this is likely a bug with how the screen orientation is viewed on the deck or it's a screen intended for a tablet and the correct view for the screen is not on it's side but upright thus why the orientation shows as portrait vs landscape). Likely due to a bug once I choose Unity and change back to another dual monitor option the resolutions stay the same and cause this garbled mess. The STEAM Deck is 600x800 set to Landscape(Should be Portrait for widescreen on the deck) and my monitor's resolution is set to Portrait(Actual Portrait orientation) and 600x800(Extends far down beyond what can be seen on my monitor).
The only way to fix this is to 1. not use Unity at all. 2. If you do use unity, change back to extended display go to resolution options and change the deck from Landscape to Portrait and the resolution to 1280x800 and your monitor's resolution to it's native(In this case, landscape + 1920x1080).
I couldn't find the option on how to change resolution and orientation prior to this because the resolution was so small and extended beyond the size of my monitor it was cut off.
