SD Card is empty and "unformated" (SOLUTION)
Hi,

My SD card was working perfectly and within a moments notice it stopped working, I suspect somehow the Steam Deck, when it turned off, it messed with something with the SD card and when I turned the Steam Deck back on, he could not read it and say it only had 2,3 GBs.

My solution was going to desktop mode and running these 3 commands on Krunner (terminal).

sudo systemctl stop steamos-automount@mmcblk0p1.service
sudo umount /dev/mmcblk0p1
sudo fsck /dev/mmcblk0p1

I needed to press enter about 100 times on the last command, just FYI.

After running the commands, I could mount the SD Card normally and it has my things and the 512 GBs again. Since then I had no more problems.

I hope it helps.

Absolute legend!!! I'm not sure if this is obvious though, once the commands were ran, had to manually eject the sd card then put it back in.

As well, didn't try this but I think you can use "sudo fsck /dev/mmcblk0p1 -a". The "-a" should automate having to use enter on everything
