Issues with Steam OS on Asus TUF A16 with 7735hs and 7700s

Just out of curiosity I tried installing just standard steam os 3 on my laptop's second ssd to be able to dual boot between windows and steam os. Dual booting sort of works but it does require turning secure boot off in bios to boot into steam os and then turning it back on before going back to windows 11. It's kind of crazy that it basically just works and plays games. That said, a number of features like power and gpu clock controls don't work so there's no way to control thermals and unfortunately this laptop runs pretty hot and loud without any tuning.

In terms of gaming the main thing that is a little bit funky is that color gradation in games looks posterized. As in, the color transitions have weird banding instead of smooth gradients. I really hope this all gets sorted for a wider steam os release, I would love for this laptop to be a fully functional steam machine some day.

It's an edge case I know, but hey valve, if anyone is reading this, I hope since this one of the relatively few all AMD laptop models, maybe it will get full steam os compatibility sooner rather than later.
