Fl Studio 2024 crashing steam deck

the steps to reproduce are to simply install the newest version of fl studio using any method you prefer, bottles, lutris, emudeck, whatever else installs windows programs, then run fl64.exe.

it starts up, loads the demo project, and then the steam deck crashes ad reboots, verifying integrity of the installation.

this happens in desktop and game mode, using any version of proton or soda.

the sparse information ive found seems to indicate this was caused by a recent bios update, but i am not literate enough in linux to confirm.

i checked the wine and bottles forums, but they cant really do anything as this is unique to SteamOS.

older versions of Fl studio work just fine, however a lot of plugin functionality is inaccessible without the updated version.

i understand that this is low priority for valve, so i can be patient, but fl studio working properly is literally the only hurtle i have to clear to make this my main PC. support from a superpower like valve on a FOSS linux machine is the entire reason I bought it.

I found out that using GE Proton solves this crash, however FL studio can't see any input from my midi keyboard.
