Switch Pro Controller Drift Issue on Steam Deck

Hello everyone,

I’m using a Switch Pro controller with my Steam Deck, but I’ve been encountering an issue with joystick drift. When I connect the controller to my Switch or laptop, it works perfectly fine, so I don’t think it’s a hardware problem.

The issue happens randomly—sometimes reconnecting the controller fixes it temporarily. However, the drift can suddenly reappear. In the settings menu, when testing the joystick input, I notice that without touching the joysticks, the coordinates of the left or right joystick (sometimes both) are not centered and keep changing.

Has anyone else experienced this issue? Any suggestions for fixing it?

why not use the controlers that came with it thats what i am using to write this
