Just got a DualSense controller today, specifically to have a gyro-enabled Bluetooth controller for Steam Deck, when playing on my TV in docked mode. Unless I'm missing some obscure setting for enabling it, gyro does not seem to work
Use the "Restart Steam" option in Power menu (may need to "Enable Developer Mode" in Settings->System to see this option). After Steam resets, gyro and touchpad both register as-expected for the controller in Steam Input and on SteamOS controller calibration menus.
Hopefully Valve patches this quickly so the workaround isn't needed, but my DualSense controller now appears to have all features successfully working and integrated into SteamOS and Steam Input on the Deck after doing this.
(Would have just put link in previous comment but not sure if Steam Discussions auto-moderates posts containing external links...)
