Fake download speeds?
Ok, so in order to keep it simple I am going to be straight forward. basically my internet is working as expected (I see the game during the downloading process and it does uses the correct speeds). the thing is that the info given by the system while downloading reaches about 250 mb/s while I'm mostly certain that the actual speeds are around 40mb/s. I did a test and confirmed my issue. 7.7 gbs at the "Supposed speed that the deck said 250 mb/s" took me like 4-5 min, which by no means is bad (for my current provider) but by doing simple math I can say with total confidence that the download speed estimate does not provide the actual speed. It all started while I was at downloads and try to "suspend the speed limit" (the option that appear when you hit the pause button.

7700MB per 5 minutes is equal to 25,67 MB/s. That is equal to 205,33 Mb/s.

Thanks for replying, but if I'm not wrong, if I supposedly have a speed of 250 Mb/s that would mean that every 4 seconds I would have downloaded a Gb. In that case I would have downloaded the complete game of 7.7 Gb in around 30 seconds, that's why I'm saying that is fake. It's showing a higher speed which is actually not true. If I downloaded the game at 25 Mb/s (which seems to be true or maybe a bit faster because it lasted around 300 seconds or around 5 minutes) it should show that actual speed of 25mb/s.

Or maybe a could be wrong with the units, if so please let me know. As I said, thanks for the help.

Your game is not 7.7 Gb. It's 7.7 GB. Those are indeed different units.

Same issue and I just checked it out that you can uncheck “Display download rates in bits per second” option in the Steam Settings->Downloads
