Game Will not Uninstall

I tried to install and play Test Drive Unlimited 2. It did not work, but now I cannot uninstall it. The OS just says “Uninstalling…” with the spinning logo indefinitely. I also cannot find the game in the Desktop Mode and delete it there. I do not know what is going on.

Yes, several times. Also, when I try to verify the integrity of the local files for this game, the Deck is stuck on “resetting install script.”

try doing it in the Desktop mode, as far as I remember there might be extra dialogs etc during uninstallation that do not show in the Game mode

I had the same issue, I managed to uninstall it via the Desktop mode as suggested above, there was indeed an extra dialog, something about the game not being licensed, after clicking OK on that it got uninstalled. To find the game in Desktop mode, you have to open Steam and uninstall it from there. It seems that the servers for the game were shut down by Atari, that is why the game no longer works.

This is the exact game I had an issue with by chance when searching for "game won't uninstall, Steam deck" kinda ironic. The only reason is because I can't activate it after revoking the license because it had to be revoked to varify integrity, because the game was having major game breaking bugs like car models being glitched out and my homes with really messed up interiors so... Ya, this game has issues

the only reason i was trying to uninstall is because of major bug that breaks a lot of nessisary game items and now after reinstalling, the game wont activate anymore. so i lost my game on my steamdeck now due to this bug

THANK YOU for posting this. I've tried repeatedly to get TDU2 off my Deck, only to fail each time. Hadn't even considered the possibility that Desktop Mode might work differently. But it does, and I finally did, and now I have some more space on my SD card. Hmmm, what to download as a replacement...

Just made this mistake too. Damn game. Shame that its become unplayable. I get licences expire, but we should be able to play purchased games locally indefinitely

I'm having the same problem with gta 5 enhanced I tried restarting it and going into desktop mode and nothing keeps saying connection time out so I don't know what to do
