Bluetooth Issues

Can’t pair AirPods anymore, and steam deck won’t forget the device either.

I am also having this issue. Tried to connect airpod pros, steam deck recognizes the device and loading circle starts spinning when I try to pair. It never actually pairs, the loading icon just continues to spin. Am not given option to forget device. Restarted device, restarted steam deck, turned off Bluetooth, turned off wifi….nothing working.

I figured out my issue…I had turned bluetooth off while in desktop mode. This makes it impossible to use it in Deck mode, and doesn’t seem to give any indication that this is the problem. Try going into desktop mode and enabling bluetooth from the toolbar menu.

this should be a bug in the UI part. they didn't hook it up and update and listen to the bluetooth state in the desktop mode.

I'm having this issue as well both in game mode and desktop mode are both bluetooth activated and it does link with the device but I'm still hearing my steam deck speakers instead of the device i paired it with. UPDATE! you need to right click the volume icon (bottom right) with a mouse. choose the device name your trying to hear out of. you should be able to hear it now.

Can confirm this just happened as well. Unit is bricked, going to need to restart it again for it to additionally pre cache shaders

same for me here, i use a Sony SRS-X77 Speaker, everything worked fine until today, now my Steam deck doesnt connect to it, so i tipped "forget the device" but now i also cannot even find it anymore, very sad

Goto desktop mode and goto settings, Bluetooth and then delete the saved Bluetooth devices.
Now go back to game mode and reconnect, all should be good

Just info. Still the same for the latest SteamOS 3.6.19. I got the Bluetooth disabled in desktop mode, and external gamepad can't connect in the game mode even when Bluetooth is enabled in game mode. I still needed to enable on both modes.
