Offline Mode Doesn't Go Back Online Without Restarting

Hello, this following has been happening on the latest 3 updates. I am on the beta channel.

The Issue:
When I turn on the Deck from sleep or cold boot without Internet, I take the Deck to offline mode or turn on airplane mode to do the same. But when I go back somewhere with Internet, I can not go back into Online Mode. I'll get the message "Steam Deck can't reach the Steam servers." It will get stuck in Offline mode until I reboot the device. Even after connecting to a Wifi network, I'll get the same message "Steam Deck can't reach the Steam servers." After rebooting, I'll still have to go into settings and then finally be able to click on "Go Online" and then finally connects to Steam.

Expected Outcome
To be able to seamlessly disable or enable offline/online mode. Or transition automatically when no network connections are present.

To replicate, Deck must be disconnected from any wireless connections, then enable Offline Mode. The system won't appear as if it actually changed to this mode as it will still ask to enter Offline Mode. Then enable a wireless connection, and you'll be stuck waiting for Steam to connect and never will! After rebooting, you'll now find that the Deck is in Offline Mode and is waiting to "Go Online" even if there is an active network connection.

Happened to me

This just happened to me as well.

- Went to the treadmill at my apartment complex, where there is no wifi.
- Tried to launch a game, it said no because no connectivity.
- Entered offline mode, played for a bit, saved within the game but did not exit the game, put the Deck to sleep.
- Walked back to my apartment and couldn't leave offline mode. The button still showed Enter Offline Mode and the wifi symbol near the clock showed as connected.
- Restart. it finally showed the button for Go Online and the wifi symbol near the clock showed as offline.
- Tapped the Go Online, the wifi symbol changed to online, and I could finally Cloud Sync.

EDIT: I am on the Stable channel.

Same. Stable Channel. Connecting to my mobile hotspot (online mode),then suspending the Deck, and coming back into house, it immediately connects to home network, but says “Unable to Reach Steam Servers”.. although it is definitely online and can even check for System Updates.

I hope they fix this soon i need to restart my steam deck multiple times a day because of this bug.

Yep, if I put my Deck to sleep I have to restart if I want to go back online. Happened on my first deck too and nothing fixed it.

I restarted my Steam deck for the fourth time, I hadn't used my steam deck for over 4 weeks since in October 2022 logged in just now today there is a massive update looks like several from reading the historical records.

now my deck will not enter into online mode or show me my friends list or show me any game store pages nothing I click my profile picture on the top right it shows that I'm offline I click on line and it just spins logging into friends.

any suggestions or fixes?

UPDATE:
The reboots the four that I did did not fix this but what did fix it is a complete SHUTDOWN your deck.

once I did the shutdown and started up again everything was perfectly fine not an issue so I think it's an issue when coming out of power saver mode or sleeping mode.

The software or the hardware are no longer communicating to each other when coming out of those two modes.

if they were my choice I would just rather never have it sleep or power save these two functions have been issues in all computers the last 30+ years.
