3.6.19 stable stuck on logo screen
I installed the 3.6.19 update and rebooted, and my Steam Deck sat on the logo screen for twenty minutes before I gave up and force rebooted it, but that just brought me back to the logo screen again, no matter how many times I tried.

If I hold down the ⋯ button while booting, I can select 'previous' and my Deck goes back to working perfectly on 3.5.19, so clearly no permanent damage has been done; but I tried downloading/applying/restarting the 3.6.19 update again, and the same issue happened.

More specifically, at this point, instead of the logo screen, it shows me the bootup console (I'm not sure if that's because of having used the ⋯ button, or the number of times in a row that it crashed on start?), and the screen that it hangs on is a totally black screen with a single white underscore in the top left corner (after having shown a few seconds of scrolling text and then cleared the screen). Either way the behaviour is the same; everything is fine on 'previous', but it hangs on startup if I select 'current' or try applying 3.6.19 again.

I tried to boot "current with options", and got the following error.

ERROR: Mounting /dev/disk/by-partuuid/57xxxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxx failed.

Then it exit to command prompt. But when I check the path, there is no "by-partuuid" under /dev/disk

OK, I took a video of my Steam Deck screen during the buggy boot, and after a whole ton of [OK]s, the very last lines before the screen goes blank are:

Starting User Runtime Directory /run/user/1000... [FAILED] Failed to start User Runtime Directory /run/user/1000. See 'systemctl status user-runtime-dir@1000.service' for details. [DEPEND] Dependency failed for User Manager for UID 1000. [FAILED] Failed to start Rwfus: Carry Pacman across SteamOS updates!. See 'systemctl status rwfusd.service' for details. _

rwfus is something I'd installed to muck around with compiling and installing stuff for desktop mode..... I was under the impression that if an update wasn't compatible with it, I would just *lose* rwfus, but I guess it can also interfere with updates...

After uninstalling rwfus, I've updated to 3.6.19 successfully! (For better or worse, none of the stuff I was trying to run through it wound up working out anyway, so I won't miss it...)

though I will add: it'd be great if the Steam Deck didn't clear the screen as soon as the error happened! I could've just read that error in the first place instead of waiting until I could set my camera up to film the text before it vanished.....

If it's a kernel problem, you are probably will not see anything.
