Steam deck won't connect to Wi-Fi

I've had my oled deck about a year and never had wifi issues til I moved and got a new (and better!) service. Now it won't connect - just keeps saying "failed to connect" and having me re-enter my password. I know my password is right; I even changed it to triple check. All my other devices connect to the internet. I've tried going into developer mode and disabling that wifi power thing, no dice. I have my ethernet cord plugged in to the steam deck dock and that is connected by the usbc cord to my deck, no dice. Any other suggestions? (Please know I could not be any more tech illiterate than I am, and I'm not used to forums at all - any advice needs to be pretty dumbed down. Sorry!)
