Gyro Calibration Lost After Sleep Mode
I'm having an issue with the gyro calibration being lost after going into sleep mode or restarting. If I calibrate it after waking it works perfectly fine until the next time I turn it off. This started about a month ago. Before that the gyro worked without having to recalibrate it. I've been working with Value Support but I think they're probably close to running out of things for me to try. At this point I think it's either an issue with Steam Input on certain models or a hardware issue but I haven't dropped it or had any water near it.

I've already tried the stable, beta, and preview versions, resetting the controller with Vol- and QAM button, a factory reset, reimaging the whole device, and I've tried running Windows 11 from an SD card but I'm still having the same issue.

I wanted to see if anyone else with an older LCD model is having the same issue or if there's something else I can try to fix it. I have the 512 GB LCD model. Here's a video of what's happening:

After the last update (October?), I have exactly the same problem with the gyroscope in my LCD 256GB. I also noticed that the vibrations in games on the right side are slightly weaker (in Steam Deck settings, everything works fine). Have you found a solution to this gyroscope problem? :winter2019sadyul:
Yeah I was able to fix it. Here's what I did:

Switch to desktop mode

I went into Steam settings in desktop mode and went to the gyro calibration.

I ran the calibration twice. I'm not sure if running it a second time made any difference but that's what I did.

After that, I shutdown from desktop mode.

After starting back up my gyro calibration has stayed perfectly calibrated through sleep and shutdowns for months now.

Not sure how you've come across this, but following this has also resolved my own issues with Gyro drift. It's now finally stable, after months and months of not being able to use due to it having to be recalibrated every single time the device came back from sleep.

10/10 Superstar!
I've submitted a (likely) fix for this. Look for it next patch.

I'm still having the issue on a 256 LCD despite a recent patch mentionning your fix. That being said, @Strut Tower's workaround seems to have worked !
