Report a translation problem
I switched to the beta branch and so far it seems unaffected by the error (but now there is the added hassle of knowing when to go back to stable branch).
On other forums people seem to think it's related to thirdparty plugins, but I do not have any of those.
Latest stable version, had to press Refresh with cursor, then it showed startup screen, but didnt solve the problem
Don't seem to be getting it in other games.
To exit out of it, I just hold down the three dots button until it goes away. But i can't use that panel until i restart my Steam Deck.
For reference i did briefly have decky loader installed but only because emudeck autoisntalled it when i was testing it. I have removed it since along with emudeck and everything. Unless it leaves some bits behind that no one is aware of, it should have been completely removed and no longer affecting anything.
Essentially, try a hard reboot and then a reboot that triggers memory retrain. The instructions on how to do it are written below.
-------------------------------------
So i think i managed to get rid of it,
(don't have decky loader)
Here's how it went down:
The error popped up when playing Portal 2, i closed it by holding down the (...) button. When i left the game i pressed the (...) button again and got the error, held down the (...) button but it did not go away. I then pressed (B) and it went away,
I then restarted the Steam Deck but it took unusually long to the point where I waited for about 5-8 minutes and nothing happened, i only saw the boot logo.
At this point i just held down the power button until the LED at the top started flashing and let go (hard reboot) until the deck booted back up as normal.
Finally, i completely shut down the Steam Deck. When it was off i held don the (-) Volume button together with (...) button and TAPPED the power button. After i saw the LED flash a few times i let go of the (-) and (...) buttons. I let the system boot as normal.
Since then, i've not had the issue occur in the two games where it has been.
