Remote Play Hardware Decoding Very Poor Performance!
My gaming PC and Steam Deck are both on the same network connected via ethernet so that I can stream games from my PC to the living room using my Deck on its dock.

Regardless of what game is being streamed, if the client (the Steam Deck) has hardware decoding enabled, frame times are very inconsistent and not smooth and the image quality suffers. When hardware decoding is disabled, image quality greatly improves and the frame times are consistent and with no stuttering whatsoever. The issue is that there's a very noticeable increase in input delay using non hardware decoding.

Again this is with ALL other settings being identical besides client side hardware accelerated decoding.

This to me sounds like a software bug and I creating this as a bug report so that Valve may do something.

Have this issue too. Havent noticed the increased input lag, but hardware decoding set to off is a far better experience (consistent frame-time, almost no stutter) than having it enabled.

Same issue, only fix I found is disabling hardware encoding. Wonder why it suddenly fails. Valve loves breaking their remote play feature...
