Steam Deck

I think I bricked my Steamdeck
List of things I did that I believe resulted in this Hardware (Steamdeck OLED 1TB) getting bricked:

1. Used this (https://github.com/moraroy/NonSteamLaunchers-On-Steam-Deck) to install Epic and Rockstar Launchers.

2. Via Epic I installed Bioshock Remastered.

3. Tried to run Bioshock Remastered (GE-Proton 8-32 then Proton Experimental which both failed which I even tried in Desktop mode).

4. Looked up a fix quickly (this one was for Linux mint) and I added this (bash -c 'exec "${@/2KLauncher\/LauncherPatcher.exe/Build\/Final\/BioshockHD.exe}"' -- %command% -nointro) to the game's Launch settings.

5. Launched it (didn't work so I backed out) then the steamdeck buged out and I exited to desktop mode.

6. Entered Desktop mode and Steam momentarily opened with an update message which the Steam deck closed that and I tried to open it again but the same thing happened.

7. Looked to solve that problem then attempted to go to gaming mode.

And that is how I got here which I hope anybody can help me along with preventing this from happening again.

I would not say you "bricked" it.
Maybe you messed up the systems beyond salvation (probably not though).
In the worst case scenario you can just re-image the device.

Try switching the update channel from Beta to Stable (or from Stable to Beta), this will force the Steam Client to re-install and may get passed the problem.

Don't you have to access menus to change the update channel because, in my steam deck's current state, I think I can't because from what I tried which is messing with the power button (a short press) and alternating presses of the volume buttons but I might need to try and do other things. Btw the screen is black and stayed like that since.

Follow these instructions to recover your steam deck.

Thanks for the instructions and I was going to do that but I talked to a relative about this and getting me these resources which they questioned does it charge which I put it back on the charger, it showed the charging LED and I thought of holding the power button. I first thought it didn't work but a second later I saw the gaming mode validating update screen and it booted into gaming mode with 1% battery. What I think fixed this is that this problem drained the battery to 0% (I believe I had around 50% when it happened) I charged it up a little and powered it on which resolved this problem I believe. Anyway, I am either uninstalling Bioshock Remastered or rolling it back to an update that doesn't require some weird launch options to be added to it.
