(Preview Version) Overclocking Options not working on LCD?
I installed the preview version of SteamOS on my LCD Steam Deck that allows you to overclock the CPU and GPU in the Bios, but no matter what I enter for the GPU, it doesn't get reflected when I play games, its always limited to maximum 1600 mhz (according to the overlay) and I dont get any extra performance.

I use my steam deck mostly docked, so I hoped I could get some extra performance to reach 1080p more often and just run the fan at max speed

not related to your issue, however I think that you would get better results undervolting, so it could do more with its 15w limit.

If its maxxed to 1600 mhz, its maxxed to 1600 mhz, even at a lower voltage

I have exactly the same issues. It doesn't seem like any of the overclocking settings in the bios actually apply except maybe the undervolts.

You have to install a custom pack and override the default options if you want overclocking to work. You will have to do this so that Powertools (a decky plugin) will allow manual speeds past 1600/3500 mhz. If you don't do this, you can only run at the BIOS overclock speed you set (example: 1800 gpu, 3800 CPU) if you leave the frequency setting in powertools unchecked for BOTH GPU and CPU. You will probably also have to increase TDP to 20W.

Unfortunately, i was unable to get the packages to run (kept getting errors) even on a completely new system wipe and SteamOS install. YMMV here--this stuff DID NOT work for me.
