Steam Deck OLED Problem: Games not exiting gracefully

This is something only happening on my Steam Deck OLED: Several games won't exit completely.

After choosing the respective 'exit the game'/'quit to desktop' option they leave me with a black screen where in the bottom left is the a button prompt for the Steam menu, and in the bottom right the button prompt for force-quitting the game 'B'.

I have observed this for three games now:

- ELDEN RING
- CYBERPUNK 2077
- HOB

All three games play and quit without a hitch on my LCD Steam Deck.

In the case of HOB, sound from the game is still playing in the background.

Same thing happens to me in monster hunter world as well as minecraft story mode. Hope this gets fixed in a later update.

i found out it is a steam ui bug because all games close properly in desktop mode.

Well, there has been a development since the last patch, CP2077 and HOB now exit as intended.

Only ELDEN RING leaves me hanging with a black screen, still.

This is interesting. I tried this, and that seems to be the case with mine too.

Additionally I observed that after exiting and ELDEN RING closing its window, another window opens, completely black and featureless and after a short time closes again.

Maybe that is the culprit. Could it be the anti-cheat tool?

Happens on my LCD Deck often. Monster Hunter World a lot since it's my most played. The issue comes and goes. I've also reported this bug.
