My brightness is about 30-40% but when I turn my Deck on (from being completely shut down) the brightness is higher for some reason. I do the same move-the-brightness-notch-one-click-and-back to reset it.
512gb LCD and on the latest stable update as well.
Brightness on boot is handle by the graphics driver. Unless Valve wants to port the mainline driver to kernel 6.1, I do not experience this bug on newer kernels.
I would wait until Steam OS 3.6.
I have a LCD deck but the hardware should be the same in this area. The fixes should appear in Steam OS 3.6
It's pretty annoying, especially if it's late as the eyes get a right blasting until I go to the brightness settings to knock down a notch and then back so applies the correct level.
No solution yet?
