BUG: OS 3.5 (Main Channel: 2023.0522.1000) and Brook Universal Fighting Board
The Brook Universal Fighting Board does not work correctly on Main channel and OS 3.5.

The default mode (Xbox 360 mode) instantly crashes the Deck and forces it to reboot.
If it's not plugged into a USB hub (e.g. if it's a direct connection), it actually resets the BIOS as it then crashes AGAIN during the reboot.

Xbox One mode actually gets recognized by the Deck as an Xbox One Wireless Controller, but no inputs respond to anything, and the fightstick's "Xbox" LED's are not lit, so the enumeration does not succeed.

PS3, PS4 and Pokken modes seem to work fine (PS3 mode is perfect for Street Fighter 6 as all the button layouts are identical to XB360).

My official Xbox One controller works no problem, as well as the MadCatz Fightstick Pro.

Note: in windows on the Deck, there is no problem with the Brook UFB in XB360 or XB1 modes, so this seems to be an OS issue.

This was working no problem on OS 3.3 stable or one of the 3.4 beta releases when I last tested this late last year.

I have an mPress leverless arcade controller that uses the Brook UFB PS5 edition, and have similar issues. I've only tried to use it via the Steam Deck Dock, but as of that most recent large SteamOS update, the controller goes into some kind of strange mode where half the buttons don't work. To use it, I have to manually hold I think L1 for it to force the Xbox 360 mode (I might be confusing it with another console's mode, but whoever the FGC guy is at Valve should verify this stuff). Not sure why or how the device that SteamOS reports itself as changed in that version update, but I would greatly appreciate rolling back that part of the change.

A buddy of mine using a Hori stick also has issues where 3 of the buttons don't work at all, but only on the Steam Deck. Works fine on console and Windows.

I wanna leave a second comment to illustrate that because of this update, the Steam Deck went from a device that I used to recommend as a tournament standard, to something that tournaments definitely cannot rely on for competition. This is actually a pretty big problem when arcade controllers are not universally compatible like they are on consoles or Windows.

Valve... please don't ignore this issue when the Brook UFB is arguably the most popular arcade controller board.
