Volume Keys bound to keyboard buttons during remote play

For some reason, the volume up and down keys are bound to the same 2 keyboard buttons when I use my deck to remote play any games on my desktop. Volume Down is set to B, and Volume Up is set to Escape. Now, they still work as volume keys, but they end up performing a key press at the same time, which gets annoying.

I've tried resetting, gamepad layout, but it makes no difference. Steam is running as admin to bypass UAC restrictions that cause one of my more played games not able to be streamed and played.

EDIT: Just tested with Steam running normally, this bug does not happen. It seems this volume key bug only happens when connecting to my PC when Steam is running as admin.

This is happening to me too. Screen freezes but I hear the actual game audio playing. Things look normal on the pc but steam deck is frozen

Having this exact issue when I press the volume down button. It won't stop thinking I'm pressing the B key. In my case tho the volume up button doesn't seem affected.

I think I'm running Steam normally and not as administrator, but I still have the issue.

I tried contacting Steam support but they seem to have replied with an automated message.
I don't know if you'll see this OP, but I've sent you a friend request.
I would be really thankful if you could help me with this issue.

I don't know if you'll see this but do you still have this problem?

Besides the whole issue OP talked about, I also have this freezing problem. When streaming Fall Guys to be specific.
When I play the volume down button, the game's image completely freezes. But I can still hear it and it's running without any problems on the host PC.

in metaphor re fantazio when I press volume down it thinks I pressed the B keyboard key. If you discovered the solution to this, do let me know please. For now I'm remapping B action to another key (Z in my case)
