Steam Deck

Ubisoft games are unplayable
So I recently bought Scott Pilgrim because it was marked as playable on SD. Upon launch, it brought up an error where Ubisoft Connect wouldn't sign in and keep looping me back to the connect to ubisoft screen. If I launch the game without Proton, it says that I need to install Uplay, and switching back to Proton after this brings up the same uplay error. I've tried unistalling from the SD card and installing directly to the Steam Deck, I've tried various versions of GE Proton, and I've tried reaching out to Ubisoft Support who told me they essentially have no plans of fixing compatibility issues with Steam Deck. Steam support directed me here to make a new post.

Yeah. Almost all verfied games don't work or require more effort than advertised to get working.

I've had the steam deck since June 2023 and about 90% of my time has been trying to get games to work natively on this PoS.

I have given up entirely. Steam Deck is now 700$ Moonlight machine.

This is a problem with games that use a 3rd part launcher.

Be sure to voice your frustration with Ubisoft, they have broken the launcher.
It maybe that at some point valve / community will have a workaround, until Ubusoft breaks it again...

When you change proton version, try to delete the old proton files before launching the game again.

Don't be disingenuous.
