Loading animation when go to game after sleep mode

my deck is always showing the loading animation (the one with steam logo) after waking up from sleep mode. if i click the steam or three dots button, the menu wil appear, but going bavk to the game shows the loading again.

when the triple dot menu is clicked, i can see the game screen, but closing it will show the animation again, and it seems like the animation blocks input to the game as well.

closing and reopening the game will produce the same issue. only restart will fix the problem, but If I do the sleep mode and waking up again, the bug reproduces.

also having this problem. makes the sleep function effectively useless since i have to reset every time

Turn off "Use as wake movie" in your customization settings.

doesn't work. for me sleep mode only works properly if game running in back ground. if I just put to sleep screen turns black. and when I move I can hear its still on.

I have the same problem. Never happens right after rebooting. After going to sleep, or exiting and starting a new game the loading overlay never clears. I can hear game audio. Some actions clear the overlay, like the menu, but I can't control the game.

It's like Steam never realizes the game is done loading. Launcher never exits?

The only way I know to work around it is to reboot every time I want to play a game, and never use sleep in the middle of a game.
