Steam button & 3 dot button not working sometimes

sometimes steam & 3 dot button is not working....its responding but nothing is popping up....again I have to restart...any solution???

Did you try going to desktop mode and opening steam? Steam needs to be open for those buttons to work

Yess i am facing this issue on steamos gaming mode only not in desktop mode...when i am pressing those buttons its making sound but not opening the side menu..

Yes. I had same issue.

When I am in Gaming mode in Store. I press Steam button but it didn't show menu. But I hear sound and some motion on top of a screen.

It looks like menu appeared in background, under Store view.

Reboot helped.

But it happened several times, so it's annoying.

Has anyone been able to fix this? Booted up my deck for the first time in a week, and neither the steam nor 3 dot buttons seem to open the side menus that they should anymore, even after constant restarts.

For some reason, a hard shut down and reboot wouldn't fix this, but pressing the restart button would. Very odd.

Disabling the security pin fixed this for me.

Seems like the "Before showing login screen" is a new option that was added recently (unsure if it was this update but I've not seen it before).

You can still have a PIN by enabling "On system wake & power up"."

To get to the settings menu without the Steam button, click the WiFi icon. From there go to "Security" & turn off the "Before showing login screen" option.

Thanks guys! That fixed this issue for me too. I hope Valve will fix this, but for now that workaround is good enough :)
