PS3 Controller (DualShock3/SIXAXIS) L2 Trigger Reversed
Whenever I connect any PS3 SIXAXIS controller to the deck via bluetooth and then press the L2 trigger, the state of the L2 trigger becomes reversed; steam should be reading the value of the unpressed L2 as 0 and a fully pressed L2 as 32767 but it actually reads the opposite of this. This is now persistant until I turn off the controller.

I have tried clearing the bluetooth folder using the steps in the third comment of this thread but still see the issue

This bug:
- is not triggered until I use L2 for the first time after connecting via bluetooth
- is easily replicated and occurs each time I attempt to replicate it
- seemingly applies to all PS3 controllers - I have tried with several and all have the same results
- is also present in desktop mode
- does not apply when connecting the controller to the deck with a mini-USB cable

I use this controller with bluetooth with no issue, but my setup may not be the same as yours.

You need to state what version of SteamOS you are on.

I just fired it up in desktop mode to check mine. I'm still on OS 3.3.2 and my controller is an A1 version (sticker on the back). The L2 ranges between -32767 to 32767 and does not stay on 0.

Good point on the OS version, thanks!

Running version 3.4.6, build 20230313.1. Not sure if this was present on a previous version as I can’t remember if I’ve updated since first trying these controllers.

Also confirming that the L2 (and R2) range for my A1 and B1 controllers is zero to 32767 (in SteamOS controller settings and in Big Picture mode). This is the same when using wired or bluetooth.
