are you using proton experimental ? if so drop back to a older version and/or use GE
protondb shows this game as a silver rating, so bugs should be expected.
No I'm not using Proton experimental, I've tried latest proton GE, and also 7.0.5.
It's rated as Playable on Steam for the Steam Deck. At the moment only audio plays on loading. It looks like the same issue that was supposedly fixed for Forza 5 is present for Forza 4.
The latest SteamOS/Steam beta fixes this focus issue for FH5 only, but FH4 still has the issue.
To work around it in Game Mode, bind one back button to Alt, the other to Enter and then hold the alt one and press the enter one.
Hoping Valve fix this issue.
Audio plays, screen is black.
I can however see the FH logo and "Press A to continue and X for Accessibility" or such. But it doesn't register any inputs...
without any manipulations - only initial screen and blackscreen then with menu music.
when I configured proton experimental - I see menu, but after login in xbox account (successfully) I got an error in menu "sing-in needed"...
upd: I tried a few different proton versions... so it works on 8.0-5
