I just tried connecting my Nintendo Pro Controller.
1: Connecting the Nintendo Pro Controller and then putting the Steam Deck to sleep mode, and then waking it up didn’t create the same issue as on the 8bitdo Pro 2 Controller.
2: Restarting the Steam Deck didn’t create the issue. I was able to wake up the Nintendo Pro Controller and use it as normal.
It seems to be an 8bitdo Controller issue.
So sad. I just ordered the 8bitdo Ultimate Controller :/ Maybe it’s better to cancel it.
Great idea @some_dude
Gonna do the same. Would be great if we could inform them and hopefully get a firmware update soon.
The 8bitdo ultímate controller works flawlessly in Bluetooth/switch mode on the steam deck. It has support for all the buttons, as well as gyro. No issues with reconnecting the controller after restarting the steam deck.
As expected, the 2.4ghz dongle thingy doesn’t work at all on the deck. Controller input is ignored.
Not sure if they patched something g or if the issue simply doesn’t exist for the ultimate, but I’m relieved to say the least.
