"Plasma closed unexpectedly" message after switching to desktop mode.

Hey everyone. So my Steam Deck has been running pretty well except for one problem. Everytime I try to switch to desktop mode, It instantly crashes, and I receive the message that plasma closed unexpectedly, which will close after a couple seconds before appearing again and repeating that cycle over and over again. I eventually just switch back to steam os since there's nothing obvious that I can do to get it to work.

I'm running the stable client and am not doing anything else fancy. The only non-steam app I have is google chrome, which installed itself through steam os during setup. I have never been able to use desktop mode successfully.

I'm not much of a linux guy. Any ideas here?

Try switching to Beta and applying an upgrade.
Not because it fixes anything, but because the update process writes a new SteamOS image which might work.
After this you can switch back to Stable, but keep the Beta version on until Stable gets an update as the current Beta still is fairly solid.

Решил. Короче.. можете добавить куда-нибудь, потому что в интернете такая проблема есть, а окончательных решений нет.

У кого не запускается рабочий стол и промаргивает ошибка Plasma делаем следующее:
-Запускаем рабочий стол
-Нажимаем на кнопку "Steam", выбираем любую игру, открываем путь- это нужно, что бы открыть проводник
-Запускаем магазин приложений (мне пришлось нажать на любой файл с неизвестной программой запуска и выбрать магазин)
-Качаем программу Konsole или выбираем из списка установленных, если есть приложение для запуска консоли (командной строки)
-Вводим следующее:
rm -rf ~/.cache/* killall plasmashell && kstart5 plasmashell
Между словами обычные пробелы, то есть точно так, как написано выше, не придумывая ничего своего.
Всё, мне помогло. Совместил информацию с видео на Ютубе, где подключают клавиатуру (оттуда взял только rm вначале кода) и ответ одного из пользователей Стим, который написал код, но не написал rm, отчего писало, что команды -rf не существует. Ну и собственный опыт, потому что не мог запустить нормальную консоль
