Steam Deck

Deck can't reach steam servers after sleep
Same issue as everyone else - if I put the deck to sleep it can't connect to steam servers after waking - rebooting is the only thing that fixes it -making the sleep function basically useless. I'm on the beta branch with advanced wifi powered management disabled.

Yes, same problem here. My wifi connects just fine, but I get the yellow exclamation icon and the "can't connect to steam servers" error after resuming from sleep. Restarting the steam client or rebooting the deck is the only fix.

This started with the beta update of November 2 and has continued with the beta update of November 3.

When this happens, I can't install new games or view screenshots. I can browse the store, however.

Simply restarting steam fixes this temporarily. Interestingly my deck is doing this and I can still launch a browser or non stream app such as Battle.net and networking works (can log in and play) so I'm thinking this is an issue with the steam app/game scope itself after sleep. 64gb on beta release with WiFi optimization turned off

Same issue here. Restarting steam fixes the issue until the next sleep

I'm also having the same issue, though I'll add that switching to desktop mode also seems to restore connectivity.

Same issue here since November 2nd on beta branch.

Same on Preview branch.
Someone on reddit mentioned that switching to/from desktop mode also resets the issue until the next sleep.

Some peeps think this is due to Valve trying out the alternate wifi module driver to fix the 2.4/5ghz ongoing issue, but the new driver has this ongoing bug with sleep mode basically disabling it and this is probably where this bug is coming from.

I'm adding to the "same" pool, it happens as explained perviously:
- fresh reboot, all works fine
- resume from sleep, SD can't reach the Steam Servers but can easily navigate the interent

This happened on different WiFis (home, neighbor, mobile hotspot) so I had to revert to Stable as it was driving me nuts.

Likewise here. Started about a week ago, on the beta branch. When waking up the Deck it says it can't reach the Steam servers, restarting fixes it.

Same here, installing back the stable branch.

I know all other posters on this thread mention the beta branch only - but I am on stable, and have exactly the same problem. I was actually considering switching to beta just to see if that improved things for me.

OS Version 3.3.2, OS build 20221005.1
