2TB SD-Card

The Steam deck allways gives an error on my 2TB Sd-Card thet it cant format it.
Dosent support the Steam Deck 2TB Cards or does it need to have a certain format so thet it will work?

I finaly found out how i can formate my SD-Carts on windows and now they work perfectly fine on the Steam Deck.

Just dont use ext4 it isent worth the trouble...
Just use NTFS as filesystem.

2TB SD-Cards are still rare and "very expensive".
How much did you pay for yours? If it was below 200$ then it's most likely a fake.
I myself attempted to run a "known fake" 256GB SD-Card (is 12gb real) on the SteamDeck and surprisingly enough it realized it's a fake and wouldn't format it, only gives out an error, so +1 for the SteamDeck on that.
To confirm that your SD-Card is legit, simply google for some SD-Card Fake Testers and let that run on your card.

Just follow this comment https://steamcommunity.com/app/1675200/discussions/1/3387291961150707128/ and formatted it to ext4 and it shows now the sd cart but as completly filled...

And it is a working 2TB SD Cart i use to test my cards with Mini Partizion Wizard.
It is just kinda slow (15mb/s).

And btw it had cost me 5,50€ to get this Card :)

The formatting dos not even work with a 16gb card for me...

Try testing it with a tool such as f3 (Fight Fake Flash). There's no way it's really a 2 TB card at that price.

If a 2TB card is that slow, it certainly is a fake one. The Firmware on the SD-Card is modified to show ANY capacity the scammer wants, it simply works by false reporting and overwriting existing data once the "real storage" is full.
Mini Partition Wizard does not check for this kind of fake blocks, nor does it read back data it wrote onto the device.
Either check with the program I mentioned what does OR if you don't trust that, simply copy a few videos onto your SD-Card, fill it up with like at least 40GB worth of movies if not more and then check if you still can view them or if they became corrupted.

Speed hase nothing to do with the data storage of a devide... and the high speed is responsable for the high cost.
