Steam deck being suddenly slow [FIX]

Hi, i found a fix and no one seem to talk about it on internet (reddit etc...)

Sometime the deck being slow and lag for no reason (even in game)

And the deck when you close it will being stuck in a boot looop

For fix that just open the BIOS in the deck ( press + button when starting the console)

And go to batterie (power)

Now make your batterie in sleep mod

Wait a couple of minute

Plug your deck and start it

It should boot quickly and everithing came back to normal

(Reinstal os didnt worked for me its the only things that work idk why)

It happened to me also. After battery went to 10% it started lagging very very hard. Then I restarted the deck, it took like 15 minutes to fully restart and it still lags, will try this solutions after it restarts again

OMG, it worked!! Thanks a lot. Valve should include this in the troubleshooting guide. The deck almost became unusable and nothing that I tried previously worked, I was thinking of sending it back if I hadn't come across this post. Thanks again!

Short note: it is now called battery storage mode and what you basically do is you enter the battery storage mode and then exit it. My guess is that the battery storage mode powers everything down fully and you basically do a really complete power cycle.
Short note 2: Battery was also charging really slow at like 2-4w before I did this

When I went into battery mode instead of backing out I clicked yes on powering down and then it worked right away.

Man ive almost ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ beat the final boss in south park the fractured but whole and after 5 hours i almost best it, and my steam deck does this

Bro you are the MVP. I was playing Diablo 4 and as soon as the battery hit like 10%, I got massive lags and only 6 FPS, even out of the game. I followed your guide and it worked. But as @Cody Jay mentioned, its now called "battery storage mode"

I had the exact same problem. Paying D4, at 20% fps dropped to 6fps and never went higher. I followed the guide and it worked. And yes, now it's called "battery storage mode".

Yep. 100% this worked. SSH was possible but it would never load a graphical environment on boot. Kept seeing gamescope crashing and restarting in htop on my terminal - figured it was a bad main testing update. Found this thread and instantly solved the issue. What in the hell even is this bug?? This definitely needs pinning.

at one point my deck froze on a grey screen and would not respond so i let the battery die and it work fine when i powered it up again
