Wifi advanced proxy settings in gaming mode doesnt work
I've been trying to get a program called PdaNet+ to work with the steam deck. There is a method where you set the proxy settings to 192.168.49.1 and port to 8000 however it seems the steam deck in gaming mode ignores it. This works perfectly on the nintendo switch.

anyone know any way to get this to work?

Desktop mode;

System setings // Net // Proxy ;

Use Auto option, then change to game mode and continue with you config.. If works, reboot the deck and try if works after reboot.

Doesn't work, as soon as I hit the apply button it seems to ignore it and go back to default settings, which is no proxy.

the settings still get ignored, they act as if nothing was changed.

I use pdanet often. The only method that I found that even remotely works is to tether your phone directly to your PC and enable wifi share on the desktop client and connect your SD to that. It's still a little wonky though.
