Non steam games occasionally stuck exiting

A lot of the time in gaming mode, when I wish to close a non steam game, it can get stuck exiting, sometimes seemingly closing at first, but stuck running with no application window open. Is there some way to debug this? Or is this valve's task to fix?

The only way to close them in this stuck state is to fully restart the deck or go into desktop mode and back.

Same here happens to chrome spotify and various emulators

+1 I had Discord and Spotify open, tried to close Discord which actually closed Spotify and then neither would close.

+1 Just wanted to add input.
I managed to consistently crash it by :
- Launching Discord
- Launching Chrome
- Close chrome using the X in the tabs

It crashes every time. I hope that helps and that we can have it fixed in a futur patch, or at least a work around :D

This issue is still affecting me pretty much on a daily basis and I'd consider it a fairly major problem. Also I'd like to add that it only seems to happen when running multiple non-steam games at once, this could be anything, whether its a browser, discord, emulators, epic games games etc. and only happens when trying to quit one when 2 or more games are running.

yep it's nice having all these things open but quite annoying to restart to close everything cause nothing quits properly. I've had this everytime I've had spotify, discord, and a game open

Same problem closing Chrome and games running on EmuDeck

Guys, you won't believe what caused this issue. It's caused by increasing the UMA buffer size (a.k.a VRAM).
I've started to have this issue today only after increasing the VRAM from 1gb to 4gb. I've reverted back the default size and the issue disappeared. I bet you all have it increased. (This makes so much sense, VALVE didn't fix the bug because they couldn't reproduce it with the default configurations).
