Stuck on boot logo
Only had the Deck for about 5 hours, updated and restarted it, now no matter how long I let it sit, with or without a microSD installed, it just sits on the initial logo.

I will see if I can find a USB-C thumb drive tomorrow. Red flag for such an expensive console to brick so soon out of the box, then sucks I have to go out and buy a special USB-C drive just to reimage it.

Tried holding the power button 10+ seconds, let it sit about an hour now, no getting past the logo...

Figured I would report it. Doesn't seem to be the same as the looping people have been reporting.

yep... probably needs unbricking by usb stick

the boot loop most people seem to report is related to wifi issues preventing initial setup to complete, login to occur and/or wifi triggering powerdowns

yours is earlier in the boot process

yup had to do a full reimage. Not reinstall SteamOS, full reimage and start from scratch.

So far so good but not a good first impression.

Keyboard is way more responsive now. If your onscreen keyboard starts acting sluggish, it MIGHT be an early warning the system is about to corrupt.

Using a hub to boot via the usb is a problem?

I suggest reviewing their support article and create your own thread if you're having issues. No need to hijack a thread.

I'm curious if you happen to report this to Steam Support so they can also tag a case with the serial number, so they can go back to when the shipments got held for 2-4 weeks (during my initial rma process), and maybe they might need to reflash the stock.
